Day 1 of Land Tour – Nashville

Discover the heart of America's Music City on a leisurely pilgrimage to discover the sounds of the South. Arrive in Nashville and transfer your hotel, Renaissance Nashville. This evening, meet your Travel Director and fellow travellers for a Welcome Reception.

Day 2 of Land Tour – Nashville Sightseeing

Today, head first to RCA's Studio B and discover the legends of Elvis Presley, Jim Reeves and Roy Orbison. Take a cultural insight into the life and music of Johnny Cash during a discussion and private performance of original and popular Cash tunes with Johnny and June's son, John Carter Cash (or another family member). Your acoustic journey continues with a visit to the World Famous Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. See Elvis' Solid Gold Cadillac limousine and Jim Reeves' tuxedo jacket-an extraordinary collection of memorabilia on display to admire. There will be time to discover Nashville on a choice of sightseeing experiences, either the Johnny Cash Museum or the Ryman Auditorium, the original home of the Grand Ole Opry.(B)

Day 3 of Land Tour – Nashville at Leisure & Sightseeing

Enjoy a full day at leisure to explore Nashville at your pace. Perhaps amble through Broadway’s honky-tonk scene or perhaps enjoy the flavours of home grown hot chicken and biscuits. Tonight the sounds of country music will the air as you head to the Grand Ole Opry to watch a performance of America’s longest running live radio programme. (B)

Day 4 of Land Tour – Nashville – Memphis

Travel along the vast Mississippi Delta and head for the birthplace of Rock 'n' Roll, Memphis. Discover the sounds of the Blues on the must not be missed, Beale Street. Join a local specialist and musician to learn about Beale Street’s fame. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the former Lorraine Hotel, where civil rights activist Martin Luther King, Jr. was shot in 1968. Today it is incorporated in the National Civil Rights Museum and is a cultural insight into the challenges faced in getting Civil Rights introduced to America. The rest of the evening is at leisure. Your hotel for the next two nights is at the Sheraton Memphis.(B)

Day 5 of Land Tour – Graceland Excursion

See one of the most popular attractions and places of worship for Elvis Presley fans and tourists alike. Today, visit Graceland, the home that Elvis Presley. He lived here until his untimely death and is a fitting tribute to the man who changed the face of American popular music and culture forever. You will see Graceland's Jungle room, squash courts and see his actual costumes and gold records. The culminates around the graves of Elvis and family. Fans from all over the world leave floral tributes around the paths and it is a very sombre experience. Later, visit Sun Studios, whose aim was to capture the raw energy of Beale Street, recording the first Rock 'n' Roll single in 1951. This evening, take Your Choice in a dining experience and choose from a selection of local eateries.(B,D)

Day 6 of Land Tour – Memphis – Natchez

This morning, start with a visit to the legendary Memphis Rock 'n' Soul Museum before travelling to the city of Natchez. Here there is the perfect spot for leisurely exploration of Southern history and hospitality, Experience a reception at the private residence of Joe Stone. His gracious 1850s home features a collection of rare maps, a billiards hall and ornamental glasswork. Joe will perform on his 1903 Steinway piano and delves into the inspiration behind each piece of music before you are free to tour this expansive collection. Head over to the 1804 residence of Esther Carpenter, a former Four Seasons chef once named one of the Top 20 female chefs in America by USA Today, to enjoy a traditional four-course Deep South dinner with wine. Accommodation tonight is at Natchez Grand.(B,D)

Day 7 of Land Tour – Natchez – Oak Alley – New Orleans

Today, join costumed local specialists and discover the Mississippi Delta's cotton plantation heritage that produces over 900 bales of white gold each day. Explore the slave customs, secret music and an authentically reconstructed 19th century plantation at Frogmore Plantation and Gins, before meandering through the charming Louisiana countryside to Oak Alley Plantation, along a quarter mile canopy of 300-year-old oak trees, overlooking the sleepy Mississippi River. This evening enjoy a cooking demonstration at the New Orleans School of Cooking before having a regional meal of culinary Creole creations. Accommodation for the next three nights is at Sheraton New Orleans. (B,D)

Day 8 of Land Tour – New Orleans Sightseeing and at Leisure

Let the good times roll in New Orleans today, tracing the cosmopolitan history of one of America's oldest cities with a local specialist, stopping at City Park and one of the ornate above-ground cemeteries, a unique feature of this city built on swamplands. The afternoon is at leisure to take in the laid-back vibes of The Big Easy.(B)

Day 9 of Land Tour –New Orleans at Leisure

Today is yours to explore the French, Spanish and Creole sights and sounds of New Orleans. Why not, visit Marie Laveau's Historic Voodoo Museum which traces the mysteries, legends and traditions of voodoo. This evening, join your Travel Director and travelling companions for a Farewell Dinner at the famous Court of Two Sisters.(B,D)

Really enjoyed this ship, lots of activities and so well kitted out. Never short of anything, everything in plenty supply. Customer service very good. Only wished they had the water slide on board..but that's another cruise!
