Our ship was Regina Rheni II and tour was Castles of the Meuse Valley. Very disappointing. If you book a river cruise with Iglu you are given “free” rail return to get to pick up point in Folkstone. Closer to the cruise departure I found to my horror that travelling by rail at weekends usually involves works on the tracks which mean instead of changing once on the outward journey we had to change 4 times including travel by bus from our departure point to Southampton. Not satisfactory. The itinerary was interesting, most stops you were able to get off and walk to the local town. The evening entertainment was poor, quiz evening on 50’s, 60’s music with gift of box of chocolates and quiz master singing. Last night we had a group who came on board to sing. Food was okay but when I asked for more bloomer bread at breakfast I was told that there was no more. The other guests had taken too much and wasted it, so none for us late comers. Unfortunately our toilet didn’t flush on 4 occasions and no hot water on one occasion. When I spoke to the ships manager about the toilet he said “what do you want me to do?” Certainly not a satisfactory response. In 2018 I expect full working toilet facilities. The bathrooms really needed updating, when using the shower unless you put towels all around the shower the floor in the bathroom flooded. Not a holiday I would wish to go on again.

I booked a 1 week cruise from Dubrovnik followed by 3 nights at the Albatross in Cavtat . The holiday was for 3 of my nieces...In the main they were generally very happy with the holiday with a couple of exceptions related to the extension On the day of the changeover they had to leave the cabin very early [8am? ] but had to wait until 1pm for the transfer to the hotel .Therefore by the time they arrived at the Albatross half of the 1st day had gone . Another disappointment followed when they were shown to their room . The room itself was beautiful with a lovely sea view but the 3rd bed was not fit for an adult to sleep in .This caused some concern and necessitated a complaint to reception i.e. more precious time wasted ! The problem was resolved by putting another mattress on top of the existing one .. When I made the booking I particularly requested that the 3rd bed would be suitable for an adult . However , I would be very happy to book with Thomsons again !

Cruise fantastic unfortunately flight late leaving Glasgow late so missed connecting flight which made us miss first day which was in siem reap and we never had time to visit ankor wat . Very disappointed as that was the reason we booked holiday . No complaint on cruise it was perfect
