Voyages to Antiquity Dining is styled on the unsurpassed culinary traditions of the Mediterranean. As well as being one of the world's most historical and beautiful destinations, it is also well renowned for its wonderful, local fare. Voyage to Antiquity stick to the gastronomic culture of using the very best local ingredients, cooked in a simple, delicious and of course, healthy way in all three of the restaurants onboard Aegean Odyssey.
Voyages to Antiquity offer a variety of dining options throughout the day, from the more casual Terrace Café, serving breakfast lunch and dinner, to the more formal Marco Polo restaurant, available for a long lunch or exquisite evening meal. There is also Tapas on the Terrace, afternoon tea in the Observation Lounge and a selection of late night snack served in the Lido and Rendezvous bars. Whatever your mood or fancy, there will always be something to suit on this intimate, luxury explorer-style ship.
Dining Onboard Voyages to Antiquity
The Terrace Café
The Terrace Café offers a more casual approach to dining onboard with Voyages to Antiquity, with both indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant offers buffet-style dining along with freshly grilled food, in the morning choose from fruit, yoghurt muesli, or enjoy your holiday diet with bacon and eggs on an omelette During lunch the buffet offers a selection of salads, hot dishes of the say and a selection of antipasti— such as bruschetta, beef carpaccio or fresh mozzarella. There is, of course, pasta available, with a selection of sauce and another Italian specialty— ice creams.
The Marco Polo
The Marco Polo restaurants is Voyages to Antiquity main dining room, offering a more formal environment, exquisite service and the finest fare of the Mediterranean. The elegant restaurant serves a variety of meals suited to lunch, such as Parma ham and melon starters, three dishes of the days, including grilled fish, a pasta special and a choice of wonderful deserts. In the evenings dinner includes appetisers, soup, salads and a choice of main courses and desserts. There is also complimentary wine served with you meal that is carefully sourced from Italy, Sicily, Croatia and Greece. Please note: Lunch is only served in the Marco Polo on sea days and not when full-day excursions are operated.
Tapas On The Terrace
If you fancy something a little different in the evening, then Tapas on the Terrace recreates he informal yet sophisticated atmosphere of a Mediterranean bistro. The cuisine on offer includes a selection of mouth-watering appetisers, seafood paella and a range of authentic Italian pizzas. A perfect way of enjoying the fabulous food of the Med, in a more intimate, authentic-style restaurant.
Afternoon Tea is one of England's greatest contributions to civilisation and on afternoons where you are not ashore, you can enjoy this wonderful tradition in the Observation Lounge. The quintessentially English selection of freshly prepared sandwiches, cakes and scones, served with a choice of teas (and coffees), is a delightful way of enjoying the panoramic views of the Mediterranean in a wonderfully relaxing way.
