Carrying 188 passengers into Viking’s best itineraries and
destinations, the Viking Legend follows the spacious design of the Viking
Helvetia but slims down to improve flexibility.
Labelled as a “green ship”, it
uses hybrid diesel-electric engines producing 20% less emissions and reduced
noise, making you feel comfortable as the Legend takes you around the world.
The Viking Legend features only two areas that travellers
can go to for their dining. The primary area is the Restaurant. The casual
elegance of the Restaurant is a defining point of Viking’s river cruises,
providing outstanding views of the scenery with its panoramic windows and
specially prepared regional specialties on fine china.
In the evenings, the Observation Lounge offers a place of respite after a long day. Stop at the bar for a drink or choose any of the lounge's comfortable seats to kick back and relax as the ship sails the beautiful Danube river.
The Viking ships are designed more for the culturally
invested and traditional travellers. As such, there are a number of
demonstrations, cooking classes and dance performances on board.
