Summary: Having had two lovely cruises on the Ventura 2011, Canarys, 2012, Western Med thought we would do 2013 and again not disapointed. Sailed from Southampton 4th May whilst the Weather was pleasant on shore it wasnt very good cruising Down to first port of call, Also back up on the 17th and 18Th probably a couple of weeks to early making our last port of call La Coruna Spain a total washout with Very Heavy rain spoiling the visit. Calm seas but chilly weather until first port of call Cartagena Spain a very pleasant city with a hidden Gem in the Fantastic Artillery Museum comparable with the imperial war Museum in London also one of the best Model displays in the World, a must see place. Barcelona was manic busy with Thousands of citizens protesting against Austerity cuts etc, Used Subway train to get up to the site of the famous Sagrada Familia church a fantastic way to travel for a couple of Euros, worth a try.

Cannes France nice to see albiet everyone seems to be walking about looking for the Camera Lens to discover them. Rome is Rome again saturation point a word of warning given about the "Gladiators" two or three men dressed as Gladiators grab a member of a family proceed to take pictures of them posing with Gladiators and the demand twenty euros off you to get your camera back very intimidating, be warned. Corsica next vist and a delightful place to visit , Sunday so joined Locals in the Lovely cathedral for service, fantastic acoustics give great sound for fantastic hymn singing, massive outdoor car boot sale being a bargain hunters delight. Gibraltar is always nice to visit for a half day.

Last port La Cruna Spain disaster with torrential rain spoiling visit. Two day cruise back to UK spoiled with downright chilly overcast weather. Food was fantastic, very good entertainment, great staff in all aspects so most certainly hope to do again in the not to distant future. Michael & Joyce Mc Veigh
