Excellent staff and entertainment. Very good medical facilities and treatment, which I unfortunately needed. Interesting trips to Singapore, Cuchi tunnels, Vietnam and Bangkok Palace and temples. Very good evening meals in Glass House Lack of daytime activities and enrichment lectures. We have never been on an all-inclusive holiday before and felt this was a very different clientele and vibe to our previous cruise experiences.
Two words…. Absolutely fabulous. I can’t speak highly enough about my holiday to Asia. I was booked in to an inside cabin which I was a little unsure of but needn’t have been as it was very spacious with plenty of drawers and a good sized wardrobe. Bathroom was also a good size too. My cabin crew were brilliant and looked after me very well, thank you Rama for your “towel creations” every evening there would be a new animal made from my bath towels, and my cabin cleaned and tidied regularly. The restaurant 47 food was delicious with a different menu presented to the table every evening, lots of choices, an amazing feat to cater for so many people every day, the restaurant staff were always happy with plenty of cheeky banter. They treated me like I was the only person in the room with respect, they made it a pleasure to dine. The entertainment was exceptional every day, plenty to do so never bored on a sea day and the evening theatre cast were phenomenal, what amazing entertainers, I would pay to see their shows in London their singing was fantastic. Hospitality, catering, waiters, entertainment, excursions. reception, everyone thank you, there are too many of you to mention but ‘what a team’ what a crew.
Although the original cruise itinerary had to be changed because of the conflict between Israel and Gaza in Palestine we both really enjoyed our cruise on the Marella Discovery 2. We were treated exceptionally well by all of the ships crew which largely contributed to making our cruise so enjoyable. In particular, we were well looked after by our cabin staff (Eric and his team), the restaurant staff of whom there were many, the two young ladies on the Coffee Dock (Peiil and Joan) who gave us such a warm greeting every evening, and the staff in the ship's reception area. We also enjoyed the showtime each evening and we were very impressed by the excellent performances given by the cast.
Excellent food, just love being on ship!
