My family and I have just returned from a seven night cruise to the Caribbean on the Thomson Dream! it was our first cruise and we had our concerns after reading other reviews! anyone having any doubts at all DONT!! this was our most amazing holiday ever and we have all travelled the world, this was made so special by the whole crew who were all amazing, I have never encountered a more friendly lovely bunch of people in my life and my whole family are of the same opinion!! the cabin was very very spacious and had a picture window with a double wardrobe, dressing table with large lighted mirror, sofa and small table, bedside table and lamps either side of a large queen sized bed, also a bath and very powerful shower, all kept spotlessly clean by amazing housekeeping staff who came in twice a day and even gave a turn down service!! food absolutely superb and plentiful as was the entertainment. especially had great fun at the Caribbean deck party! we had a teenager with us who is also hooked on cruising after this holiday! the itinerary was also brilliant, we got to get off every day at a different Caribbean island, all beautiful! we will definitely be booking the dream again and are already planning our next cruise with them! thank you the dream and all who crew for a fantastic holiday, see you all soon!!!!

we went on the colourful coasts cruise then had a weeks stay in the guayarmina princess hotel in costa adeje. we could not fault the cruise in any way, the main restaurant was like dining out in a top place every night and the staff could not do enough for you. the hotel was lovely too.

Just returned from the treasures of the Mediterranean cruise which was absolutely fantastic. Food and entertainment first class. All of the staff were helpful and always smiling. The selection of excursions available left one spoilt for choice. We read some of the reviews before our tour started and were concerned as to whether we had made the right choice, but we are booking again for next year. This has been one the best holidays we have had.

Have now been for 2 consecutive years on the Dream in June on the Med .We had a great time. Staff were again friendly and helpful and were always polite. Food was good and entertainment excellent with a varied choice in each of the lounges/hall/bars. Rooms are clean and spacious and are looked after to a high standard of cleanliness. Would recommend any new cruisers a cruise and stay to begin with but once you get the bug it is a great way to see/visit different countries in a short time and enjoy the different culture whilst having a base of a floating hotel.

Just arrived back from a week on the Thompson Dream ship. Was a little apprehensive because of recent bad press.Had a wonderful time. All the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The entertainment was fantastic and equal to west end shows. The food was lovely and so was everything else. we would certainly recommend this ship .

Had a good time on the dream the two things that let us down was we only got 4 and half hours in Barcelona and in the lido buffet you got hot plates for salad and hot food and the soup was on the other side of the ship so easy to sort out. Overall very good

Recently returned from a cruise on this ship. This was our first cruise so we where a little unsure of what to expect. Looked at the reviews for the ship before hand and began to think " what have we booked" however we had nothing to fear as the ship was great, staff absolutely brilliant, comfortable room and great food. We where two families of four and had the outside deluxe rooms. Flights and transfers where excellent as was the ease of boarding the ship. If I did have one criticism it was that I don’t feel we where given enough info on entering the ship so we where a little in the unknown however there where always plenty staff to ask. First day wasn’t fantastic due to rough seas but that’s not Thomsons fault other than that the weather was fab. Ports of call where brilliant, we went to Rapallo, Livorno, Calvi, Sete and barcelona as well as obviously leaving from and returning to Palma. We did feel that we didn’t get enough time in each port to see it all as the ship tends to leave at about 6pm to 7pm, we did enjoy finding our own way around the ports though. We found it cheaper to find your own way to Pisa than go with the excursion, the bus from the port takes you to the tourist information shop in Livorno where helpful English speaking staff advise you on your route and you also can buy tickets there, Pisa is a definate must, absolutely amazing. Thomsons guided tour was 48 euro, we did it for 20 Euro which included a bus tour of Livorno, if you only want to see Pisa its 15 euro. Barcelona was not as easy though but we spoke to a taxi driver on the way back to the ship who told us you can agree a price per hour with the driver to take you around the city. Don’t take the tour buses as these get you stuck on a long and laborious circuit which takes a lot of your time up. Also be aware of the pick pockets in Las Ramblas, everyone you speak to warns you about them. Drinks on board ship are not bad, we had 3 adults and one teen drinking as we would normally and spent £300 on board, however nearly £100 of this was spent on perfumes and other items in the shops on board which have some really good sales. The payment system on board is good, you get a cash card on your first day which acts as a boarding pass also and everything gets charged to the card, you can ask for a copy of your on board bill at any time to keep track. The entertainment was good especially in the theatre and Medusa lounge but its really hard to find seats in the Medusa, you have to be early. One criticism is that the entertainment was not really suited to our 20 yr old son and 16 yr old daughter nor the two children at 10 & 11 in our party, cant say they didn’t enjoy themselves though. My daughters highlight of the week was meeting Peter Andre and his family who cruised, eat and went ashore with everyone else just like a normal person, I also managed to snatch a photo with the gorgeous Claire ( his manager ), he did the obligatory autograph signing and photos with all the young girls, have to say he is a really decent bloke and his two kids are cool. I didn’t like the fact that we had to have our suitcases outside of the cabin door by 3am on the last night of the cruise, also the handling of these cases leaves a lot to be desired, we bought a new luggage set before the holiday and we found it ashore when we disembarked with quite a bit of damage to it. Some of the evenings spent at sea where fantastic, we saw some really stunning sunsets and woke up in amazing places, overall this was a good firat experience, Thomson do know how to look after their customers and the staff on board are brilliant, from the room maid to the restaurant staff, they cant do enough for you.

Just arrived back to UK after spending a week on board Thompson Dream. We could not fault anything, food brilliant and plenty of it. staff were great fun and nothing to much bother for them. I would definatley cruise on the dream again. Heather

Had a holiday on Thomson dream in April. Transatlantic crossing.Flew to Montego Bay, what a dive. Staff in Airport the most unfriendly people ever. Got to ship and no staff to greet us. On all other Thomson ships you are greeted at gangway. Not off to great start. But after watching Watchdog expecting worst. Luckily we had a wonderful time. Funniest captain ever, told us 20 minute story daily about his exploits on sea and kept us informed about where we were and weather conditions, got to go to bridge for tour and ask questions. Food brilliant, staff excellent as always with Thomson entertainment staff fantastic and very, very friendly. Luckily atlantic ocean behaved itself and had very smooth crossing. Would go on Dream again. Leaving ship to airport was smoothest ever and of course flying back from Palma and not Montego Bay the best bit.

Caribbean cruise was very good, but we did not like Jamaica. Curacao was lovely as were all the other ports. Excellent food and service. Cabin spacious and kept spotless. Rather cramped when we were at sea as the pool is not large and sunbeds at a premium. Overall excellent value for money.
