Sapphire Princess Reviews
View Cruise DealsExcellent short break. Food very goid. Roll on next one
this ship is quite nice, the fault we had was with the dining, we chose open dining and the food was not like it used to be. Service not the same, we were not offered coffee or tea after our meals. If we were on normal dining would it have been the same? This lets the cruise down. We did not see any of the cruise staff, only the serving staff, thought Princess would have been better, but I am afraid its not.
Ship and staff excellent ,disappointed Guernsey call was cancelled and found Brest the replacement port of call very disappointing.
We both enjoyed our cruise on the Sappire Princess, so much so that we have booked a trip around Britain next year whilst on board. The crew were excellent, but special mention with first class service in the International Dining Room, to both waiters on table 87 and especially the Head Waiter for his help. We feel unable to rate the ship a 6 as there are overall improvements that could be made. In particular there is not enough seating in the Piazza but we could see ways of improving the number of places without interfering with movement. Sadly the evening shows were either brilliant or disappointing. In addition two shows were not enough and we could not stand throughout a performance as it would be too long. The entertainment team worked hard but special mention goes to Holly.
This was our 18th cruise in total, and our first having achieved ‘Elite’ status with Princess. There was little that wasn’t absolutely first class and Sapphire Princess was the best of the fleet, so far.
This was our third cruise, each with a different cruise line. The food and entertainment were excellent. I broke my foot two weeks before our trip and the crew were more than helpful and generous with their time making sure I enjoyed the shore excursions and joined in with things happening on board. The only criticism we had was the extra pillows and duvets were stored under the bed. These could have been put on the shelf above the wardrobe hanging space. It also highlighted that the beds were not moved and cleaned behind or under them. This is a criticism of the other two cruise lines also. (P&0-RC) We had a marvellous time and would certainly recommend and go on Sapphire Princess again.
Probably the best cruise we have done, weather, sea conditions, ship and crew were all perfect. Service in all dining rooms along with food choice and service second to none.
We have recently returned from another fabulous princess cruise around the Med. This was our first time on the Sapphire Princess and we were delighted with the ship and the super friendly staff. Just one of our excursions that I wouldn’t recommend which was “Highlights of Ceuta”. There are no highlights! I would recommend just walk off the ship and mooch around the shops for a couple of hours. We got taken on a hair raising coach trip round hairpin bends to look at a view that was obstructed by clouds. However, we had $59 worth of laughs when our poor guide was pointing out a passing ambulance in his desperation to find something interesting to show us. All other ports were great as was food and entertainment. Booking was problem free with Iglu.
Good embarkation, stateroom was usual standard. Food was variable but could use the upstairs buffet if you wanted too.
Interesting itinerary! Poor shore tours from Princess and overpriced. Service on board very good. Food a little repetitive and lacking in selection. Pre prepared breakfasts a little daunting. Buffet always overcrowded and a constant hunt for seating. Stateroom has quality issues with drawers jamming, cabin door not closing and latching!
