Princess Cruises have announced the date for the launch of their next gem, the Ruby Princess. She will be Princess' 18th addition and will make her eagerly awaited debut on 15th November 2008 against the stunningly beautiful backdrop of the Western Caribbean. Ruby Princess cruises will be on sale from 16th July 2007.

Her 9-night maiden voyage, departing from Fort Lauderdale, will take lucky Ruby Princess guests to the vibrant, reggae island of Jamaica, the idyllic Cayman Islands, colourful Cozumel in Mexico and to the private Princess Cays resort in the Bahamas, a heavenly retreat surrounded by coral laden waters reserved exclusively for Princess guests.

With Ruby Princess' construction now underway, this luxurious addition to the stylish Princess fleet will be the sister ship to both the Emerald Princess, launched in April this year, and the Crown Princess.

Princess Cruises' Ruby Princess, will weight in at 116000 tons with her passenger capacity tipped to be over 3000. Nearly 900 of her spacious staterooms will boast balconies - just perfect for admiring those unspoilt Caribbean views.

Ruby Princess' host of innovative features will define the Princess Cruises holiday experience; with their signature 'Movies Under the Stars' programme guests will be able to enjoy an enchanting movie watching experience, sitting by the pool with cushions, blankets and free popcorn; flexible ‘Anytime Dining' offers guests both traditional and casual dining options to suit their needs; fun-packed kids and teens clubs will captivate younger cruisers and her dazzling array of onboard entertainment, including lively street performers, will enthrall all.
