Royal Caribbean are well know for the huge choice of dining and variety of cuisine onboard their ships, whether on the world's largest cruise ships, Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas, or a more intimate Royal Caribbean fly cruise onboard their Sovereign class ships, there really is something for everyone.
You could pop to Johnny Rockets for a traditional American burger and fries for lunch, enjoy a sumptuous five course meal during the main dining at dinner, then head to the Windjammer Café for a late night snack. Royal Caribbean offer everything from the traditional set dining times of the formal restaurant to a superb selection of specialty restaurants, and of course, some great steakhouse-style venues.
Dining onboard Royal Caribbean is all about finding the right food at the right time, some people love to dress for dinner every evening, others prefer to kick back and relax after a day of shore excursions, rock climbing or just enjoying a few cocktails. Whatever takes your fancy you needn't stress, as Royal Caribbean's ships will have something for you, and the bigger the ships, the more you can choose from.

Dining Onboard Royal Caribbean
The Windjammer Café
The Windjammer Café, or affectionately known as the buffet, is where many a cruiser will start and finish their holiday with Royal Caribbean. Often people will pop into the Windjammer for a light bite, while awaiting their luggage or for one last indulgence before they disembark. Offering 24 hour food from late night snack and afternoon treats, to brunch, lunch and informal dinner, this venue has it all and does it in a laid back style, with fantastic views and quick, friendly service. The Windjammer is ideal for a post gym refuel, or somewhere easy is you don't fancy the formal evenings elsewhere.
Royal Caribbean's main dining rooms offer passengers the choice of both traditional set dining times, where you sit at the same table at the same time (either first of second sitting) throughout your cruise, and My Time dining, which offer flexible dining times and table sizes between 6pm and 9:30pm. Both dining options offer the elegance and charm of the traditional dining rooms, with their superb service and wonderful, five course meals. Please note: for My Time gratuities must be pre-paid at the time of booking.
As well as the aforementioned Windjammer Café, Royal Caribbean boast a fantastic selection of casual dining options throughout their fleet. If you have a sweet tooth then a trip to either, the Boardwalk Donut Shop, Cupcake Cupboard or the Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream parlour could be in store. If you are looking for a quick, savoury treat then the Boardwalk Dog House, with their hot dogs, bratwursts and specialty sausages on offer, or you could head to Johnny Rockets for a burger, fries and milkshake.
With cafe's galore to choose from serving a variety of deli foods, pizza, coffee and the odd glass of wine, you will be spoilt for chose, whatever the time of day. Depending on your class of ship you could pop into the open air Seaview Café, the Oasis class Park Café, for Paninis, crêpes and stir fires, or the Promenade Café, to soak-up the buzz over a slice of pizza. Head to the Vitality Café for something a little healthier, to the Jade Asian Restaurant for sushi or melt-in-the-mouth Asian fusion, then down to Vintages to check out the incredible selection of wine.
The choices just go on and on, and we haven't even got to the specialty restaurants yet!
Royal Caribbean also boast a superb selection of specialty restaurants that are available for a small cover charge. The have a variety of steakhouses-style restaurants, or grills, depending on your ship, along with Italian restaurants, Bistro and gastronomic offerings: Chops Grill is a high-end grill, offering the like of filet mignon and mesquite-grilled salmon, the Samba Grill, with its gaucho cowboys, offering 13 different meat and seafood specialties, and the true taste of the Brazilian-style churrasco grill. Rita's Cantina is Royal's new Mexican restaurant and Giovanni's Table and Portofino are the along standing Italian favourites. There is also the Seafood shack offering, you guessed it, seafood and Izumi Asian Cuisine, with its Japan cuisine, from sushi rolls to sukiyaki.
Royal Caribbean offer Mytime Dining onboard their ships. Mytime Dining offers the opportunity to eat in the main dining rooms, without the having to stick to set dining times and with the opportunity to dine alone or with different people each evening. Mytime dining must be selected at the time of booking as opposed to selecting the early or late seating for the dining room and gratuities must be pre-paid to enjoy this service. Mytime dining is great for people who like to see the shows at different times and for people who don't like regimented meal times. Mytime dining with Royal Caribbean offers the perfect combination of wonderful service and flexibility for evenings in the elegant main dining rooms.
Offered on Anthem of the Seas and Quantum of the Seas, this dining choice replaces the main dining room with 18 stand alone restaurants venues offering variety and flexibility.
