Wonderful trip. Nice food, atmosphere and entertainment. Cabin on deck 5 midship was perfect for us. Very much enjoyed the craft classes, presentations and quizzes. Wifi was expensive but necessary for us. The drinks package also very expensive so we brought drinks individually. Staff all very friendly. All in all a very pleasant way to cross the ocean.
I had a lovely transatlantic crossing on Queen Mary 2. I enjoyed the trip and the Cunard service was exactly as it always is. The only thing that disappointed me was the fact that the Planetarium is no longer used. On so many previous trips on the Queen Mary 2, the shows in the Planetarium and the use of the system by onboard guest astronomers were real highlights of the cruise. It's such a pity that it is no longer used.
We had a very spacious cabin , sea view 4015. Easy to get to dining room, laundry. Shower room adequate. Decor on QM2 was very bright & uplifting. We thoroughly enjoyed Christmas & New Year on her
We stayed in a sheltered balcony on deck 6 near the Aft, the cabin is a lovely size and has plenty of storage although for us on a 27 night cruise we felt the hanging space was a bit limited. The Bathroom is a good size with everything you need. Of course with QM2 the ship is the destination and she doesn’t disappoint, there are lots of comfortable areas to sit and watch the world go by, the staff were exceptional and apart from one encounter we felt they were very attentive, friendly and went above and beyond to make you feel like the only person in the world! There is always something to do, even if that it just to allow yourself to switch off and relax! Would highly recommend this Christmas cruise and doing the transatlantic is just iconic and one to tick off the bucket list
