After our planned cruise in April was cancelled a few hours before sailing, we were delighted this cruise happened to allow us to - belatedly - celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary. There were no excursions so I have given it a "medium" rating.

Amazing trip with exceptional food. Made better with fantastic weather. Lovely to be able to board early and think the new changes to disembarking is a real improvement and make leaving a lovely experience.

Thoroughly enjoyable first cruise with Cunard. Very hard to fault.

Cunard has lovely traditional style, grace and high standards. Nothing is too much bother for the crew. The profile of the passengers was so polite, friendly and well mannered.

Amazing experience! Travelling with the English National Ballet made the cruise so special. Dining as a couple we didn’t like being put so close to the next couple, we may as well have been on the same table and this wasn’t for us, so unfortunately we only dined in the main dining room three times. This however is our only complaint. Lovely traditional ship and service.

Our trip on Queen Elizabeth to Alaska was amazing. We would thoroughly recommend it. We then had 3 days in Vancouver before boarding The Rocky Mountaineer train Gold Leaf from Vancouver to Banff. It was a hand crafted holiday and everything was well organised. We treated ourselves to premium economy on the flight Air Canada and it was well worth the upgrade.

We had the most amazing experience. To cruise QM2 had been on my bucket this and she did not disappoint. Top 5 1) afternoon tea 2) silent disco was such a laugh 3) food was excellent, I cant' think of anything I didn’t enjoy 4) playing areas (puzzle areas) superb 5) service from ALL staff (crew) 10/10.

We were first time cruisers, so didn't know what to expect. What would life be like on board? How would we cope with the seas, the food, even the country we were visiting (Norway). The combination of Cunard, Norway and Queen Mary 2 within hours laid all those worries and wonderings aside. From minute one Cunard kept us up to date with our booking via emails, informed us of when we could check in online and how to do it, and this extended to the warmth of the welcome when checking in at the terminal to going onboard. Throughout the cruise the staff - without exception - were courteous and polite, they may not have got every little thing right - no human can - but I've yet to see a team try harder. Norway was as beautiful as the pictures, even more so, the clean air, the sights, the architecture, the fjords, believe me a cruise to this beautiful country will be every bit as stunning as anything the Mediterranean can offer. But for us, the standout was Queen Mary 2. Both inside and outside she is a stunning ship, she took us safely and serenely to the fjords. The sense of space on board this ship is amazing, the wide main corridors, the Kings Court, and other bars - all very tasteful and elegant. It really does take you back to a grander time of cruising. The food, whether in the main Britannia Restaurant or Kings Court was pretty much flawless. If you read other reviews on this ship they aren't terribly flattering. But from our experience - such reviews are unfair. This was our first cruise, we didn't know what to expect, but every step of the way Cunard, Queen Mary 2, and her staff did everything humanly possible to make our first cruise one of the best holidays we have had.

The cruise offered everything I needed to enjoy my holiday, and more.

Our most recent cruise was on Cunard Queen Mary 2, from Southampton to the Norwegian fjords, calling at Hamburg on Day 3 and Day 10. The most special thing about the cruise was that we got married on board on Day 4! The crew made us feel very special and went above and beyond not only to give us a magical wedding day, but also to make every moment of the cruise memorable for us. The wedding package department, who deal with arranging and organising everything prior to the cruise, needs to communicate better with the ship and with the wedding couple. This aspect lets down an otherwise perfect service.
