Short break started well with easy check in and we were on board in time for lunch. The food was good and the stewards attentive without being pushy. We were soon settled into our cabin which was roomy and comfortable and the balcony was great to sit on and watch everything going by. Unfortunately this included Guernsey as too choppy to use the tenders. We are independent travellers and prefer to find our own way round the stops and there was a distinct lack of support from the excursions. We stood patiently at the desk before we disembarked at Bruges while the lady politely and kindly helped a couple to change their excursion. However as soon as we asked about trains there was a severe change and with crossed arms the only information she was prepared to give was that we would put pressure on the local train service. Obviously no trips = no tips. That aside we had a lovely time. All the other staff were great and we had a great time

Great cruise but some attention needed to lunch time arrangements, disappointing not to be able to east in the restaurants, breakfast and evening dinner no complaints staff friendly and very helpful. Rooms kept to a high standard, inside cabin no complaint. Buffet lunches much of a sameness and coule do with a little more variety, coffee and tea facilities not good unless you wished to go to the buffet or back to your room to make. Drinks onboard expensive and some not up to standard. First cruise we had been on but not at all put off would look for another for next year.

Not the best cruise, poor entertainment, poor bars, not as clean as the many ships we have sailed in, we were on the top and the lifts are awful. Food was great, embarkation as bad as Cunard (why can't they be as good as Cruise and Maritime!)

Just got back from a short cruise on this fantastic cruise liner, everthing you can think of this ship has it all. Suberb ships company nothing was too much trouble, we had the mother in law with us , who is wheelchair ,and they treaded her like royalty, will never cruise with anyone else.

1st time on the Ventura for us but our 2nd P&O cruise. The ship was superb and our inside cabin is the best layout yet outbid many cruise ships. The food and entertainment was the usual excellent standard and we had a lovely and relaxing 7 day holiday. Slightly dissapointed that we were unable to get ashore to Guernsey as the tender transfers were deemed to be to rough and a safety risk.

Just been on this ship. It was a big ship but didnt seem so, once we were on it, which took some time! Food was lovely. Service was rather rubbish, seemed like the staff in all areas were not particularly concerned about giving a good service, just as long as they did their 'job'. The pool and jacuzzi areas were often netted off, for 'chemical cleaning' during the day? very annoying. We couldnt dock in St Peter Port, (on Tenders), and one passenger said she had been on 3 times so far and not been able to dock, due to high winds, now her 4th attempt and still not got there. It was very disappointing. Why bother to put it on the itinerary when they mostly fail to get into port? Nevertheless we had a good time, despite the staff, and we met some really great people.

Very large ship with a lot of people on board. Good facilities and lots of different activities for all tastes. The different food venues were all great if a little busy in the Waterside and Beach House buffet restaurants. We had freedom dining for the first three days in the cinnamon venue. The choice was good and the flood was excellent, we asked for a table for two and if not available was given a pager for when a table ready which didn't take too long.the entertainment was first class in the Arena theatre with very slick west end quality shows. The tours in the ports of call were very good and all ran very well. Iglu was very helpful when we booked and surprised us with the amount they offered for on board spend, made the voyage so much more enjoyable.
