Christened by Helen Mirren, the Ventura and sister ship, Azura, are the largest, most innovative cruise ships produced for the UK, maintaining P&O Cruises' leading position in the British cruise holiday market.

P&O Cruises' Ventura has a maximum passenger capacity of 3,100 with guests being able to enjoy 14 public decks. Nearly 900 of Ventura's generously equipped staterooms feature balconies and offer guests the best accommodation of any cruise ship in the UK, according to P&O Cruises.

Cuisine and Dining on Ventura

When it comes to food, no one is more passionate on the subject than culinary legend and winner of three Michelin stars, Marco Pierre White. The perfect match for Ventura, Marco has brought his expertise and flair to the White Room restaurant and other dining experiences on board.

The Bay Tree restaurant comes highly recommended, as do the Saffron and Cinnamon restuarants which all offer the high standard of cuisine and service you'd expect from P&O. The buffet style Waterside restaurant also provides a high quality buffet style option.

Entertainment on Ventura

As the light fades you can shine on. Ventura's theatre, bars and clubs offer numerous options for a fantastic night out. Whether you fancy a show, a drink in a sophisticated bar, or listening to a little jazz, you will be in for a great night, every night, on Ventura.

With so many bars to choose from, you will be certain to find the perfect spot for a pre-dinner drink. While after a wonderful meal, you can simply decide which venue best suits your mood. From dancing the night away in Havana, trying your luck in Fortunes casino, or enjoying an evening of comedy in The Tamarind Club, your nights will be fun-filled and sociable

In April 2013 Ventura introduced Olly Smith's The Glass House, a popular wine bar from sister ship Azura, as well as featuring The Retreat — an a la carte spa experience which has proven a popular feature onboard Azura.

Spa & Fitness on Ventura

Ventura is a haven of contentment. Her Oasis Spa, salon and gymnasium on Deck 16 will be sure to make the path to a greater sense of well being a smooth one. You can indulge in a luxurious range of treatments and opt for a new look, all in the safe hands of our skilled therapists and fitness experts.

Equipped with a thermal suite and an endless pool, Ventura's spa offers numerous ways to revitalise and invigorate. Presenting an interesting blend of ancient traditions, alternative therapies and modern, technological advancements, Ventura's spa has the added allure of sea views. So, all you need do is relax and unwind. From a body wrap, to a makeover and a massage, Ventura's skilled therapists and beauticians will have you looking and feeling your very best.

Recreation on Ventura

Ventura offers more facilities for P&O passengers than ever before.

There is a fully-equipped gym for toning and exercising, a wide range of shops will offer the opportunity to indulge in some retail therapy. An art gallery, art tours and auctions will provide a thought-provoking experience.

Families will be particularly well looked after, with 4 player Scalextric at sea, 3D films, and circus skills training  at Cirque Ventura and a bone fide Rock School.

The kids club area is divided into 3 areas, roughly for little ones, Juniors and teenagers, with up to the minute facilities including a row of Sony PS3s.

For those looking to tie the knot why not celebrate with a wedding cruise?

In fact, with so much to do on board, every day will be exciting and different.

Dress Code on Ventura

The dress code onboard Ventura is a balance of smart casual and formal. During informal evenings the dress code is smart causal, though men are still expected to wear a jacket. The formal evenings are when to get into your glad rags, with black tie and cocktail dresses seen throughout the ship. Whether late back from an excursion, having a relaxing evening or you're not a fan of dressing for dinner you can head to the buffet for more casual dining.

What our customers say

"Since we retired 5 years ago we have booked numerous cruises with Iglu. We have been very pleased with the service and value from Iglu. Our personal cruise consultant James Turner is an asset to your company. James always goes the extra mile to ensure that our holidays run smoothly. Flights and transfers are arranged with care and James always manages to get us connecting flights from our local airport Newcastle.

From two very happy cruisers,

Susan and Harold Moses.
