Third cruise but first time on Britannia. Lovely decor, great food and great cabin. Staff all very welcoming and friendly. Lifts too small, too few of them and often they just go right by your for when waiting. Stairs very odd, some only go up so far and you find yourself walking the length of the ship to access the upper decks. This was a real pain as the only outside space of any worth is right on the top of the ship. During the whole week we never saw the sunset bar open despite there being plenty of people in the area. For me this ship is not equipped with the right infrastructure to cope with the volume of guests. Getting in and out the theatre can be a nightmare as only end access point per row. Why replace the menu outside the main restaurants with a huge TV screen scrolling thru adverts until you finally reach the food menu, if they want to use technology how about interactive TV in the cabin or touch screen maps of the ship. All very lacking in a Britannia being quite a new ship. All outdoor pools, none undercover..... For a cruise ship based out of the UK much of the time. It's poor design. Something in the design of the ships interior need looking at because they're are glaring points that just don't work. Hopefully a refit will address them. Also at times it did feel like a floating holiday camp. Won't be saying on her again.

This was our first cruise and we definitely want to do another. P&O we could not fault. The service was excellent, food was excellent. Everything was smooth from start to finish. We had inside cabins which were comfortable and cleaned twice a day. Cleanliness on board was strictly adhered to especially around the restaurants. We all thoroughly enjoyed our week cruising the Norwegian Fjiords. I also have to thank Iglu who were always very helpful before the cruise answering my questions or offering advice. I will certainly book my next cruise through Iglu.

We had a very pleasant and relaxed cruise. However we felt that Britannia was badly designed .for the numbers on board. We would not choose this ship again. The center of the ship lacking a stairwell led to regular unnecessary delays in changing decks when the use of a lift was needed to change just one deck. This was exacerbated by the presence of excessive numbers of mobility scooters which need to be limited in accordance with the ships facilities. Eating in the Peninsula restaurant for all meals was very pleasant indeed. But our occasional use of the Horizon was unpleasant at best with overcrowding seemingly leading to unpleasant behaviour by significant numbers of passengers. The Crows Nest was our favorite indoor location . Our balcony cabin was excellent and the TV entertainment options also excellent. we also enjoyed the evening entertainment The captain kept us all well informed of our progress and justified his decision to not call at Guernsey and return to Southampton 12 hours early very well. In spite of the ships's shortcomings we enjoyed our holiday very much . .

Just returned from the Norwegian Fjords cruise. Only our second cruise, but have to say on the whole we had an amazing time. We found there to be a great atmosphere onboard. Fellow passengers were very friendly. Although we booked a saver fare we were kindly upgraded to a larger room. I was worried about getting sea sickness, but despite a strong wing blowing n both outward and inward across the North Sea I hardly felt a think, really just like being on a plane. I'm acrediditing this to the size of the ship and also being on a lower deck (F - 9). Food was generally well presented and flavoursome. The only letdown being the temperature which was always luke warm when we dined at the Penisular Restaurant. The food must spend too much time in transit from the kitchen to the table. Shame as the service was always very good. My wife is vegan and they generally catered well for her, although they could be a little more creative. She enjoyed the indian curry and dhal the most. The room was well planned and a good quality mattress. Overall all we loved Britannia, but have to agree the lack of stairs midship is a real design fault. Finally Captain Wesley was both informative and entertaining :-)

We enjoyed a week on Britannia calling in to 4 ports, 1 in France, 2 in Spain but missed out on channel Island because of the weather. We enjoyed it so much, we have booked another cruise with P&O for next year on the Aurora, a bit smaller ship. We now prefer cruising to flying, less hassle

Good points - (1) standard of the ship was very good (2) Very clean (3) cabin service very good (4) range of facilities good (5) Brodies bar excellent Bad points - (1) food varied from good to very poor (2) food & restaurant choice on gala nights (2 nights) was very poor (3) service from restaurant and bar staff varied from excellent to totally disinterested (4) disembarkation was shambolic (5) second P&O cruise we've been where we've been scheduled to visit Guernsey - second time couldn't get off due to tides/weather/etc ! Why this location is included on cruises is beyond me - just seems like a way to keep people on board spending money !
