We enjoyed our break but would only recommend to people older than ourselves, as felt it was suitable comparison to saga cruises. We will stick to family ships as we feel the entertainment suits us better.

We booked through iglu for a P&O cruise to the Canaries and Portugal on Aurora. Booking was easy through iglu, the ship is the smallest in the fleet and just for adults. It was a superb ship, cabin was plenty large enough and very comfortable. The staff throughout the ship were lovely, very friendly and helpful. Meals in both the main dining area and buffet were really good with a good variety of menu choices. Everything was really well run and organised throughout our entire holiday, we came home feeling so relaxed! And looking forward to cruising again as soon as possible!

Excellent holiday all round. Great food, great places, really good entertainment and activities. Not forgetting the cruise staff who were brilliant. Highly recommend and will be cruising again - Warning, it’s so good it can become addictive!!

The ship was quite basic in many ways. Very little entertainment, and what there was seemed to be geared to much older clients (and we are in our late 50's!). Virtually nothing happened on sea days, barring the odd quiz. That said, the 'headliners' shows were quite simply superb and much better than what we have seen elsewhere - very professional, lots of different shows. Having just come off a caribbean cruise with P&O we found all of the 'paid for' dining options were simply not as good on Aurora as on P&O Azura. For example: meals at Sindhu had literally no spice at all, weird given it was an indian. At the beach house i asked for extra chilli and was served none (it was described as squid with chilli - none were used!). The buffet was OK. The main dining room was a mixed bag; some days it was really good (the steak and kidney pie was fab) and on other days it was poor. Though most drinks were really cheap relatively (and good value), the wines were uniformly poor and expensive. I would only book again on Aurora if it was really cheap (as this holiday was - dirt cheap actually!) or it was going somewhere I really wanted to go, e.g. Western Carribean.

Aurora was not fit to sail, amenities had not been tested prior to boarding, staff were inexperienced and not fully trained, food portion sizes in main dining room were toddler size at the best, we feel personally that this cruise was a complete waste of money. Our cabin C161 had no proper functioning toilet for our first 16 day's of the cruise upon which time the deck manager admitted there was a problem and was going to organise a new cabin for us which then took another 48 hours to complete. This cruise should not of gone ahead without the refit promised.

Booked on 4 night trip calling at St Peter Port and Zeebrugge. Best fitted ship we have so far used although disappointed not to get table in 'Sindhu' as was fully booked pretty much before embarking - made note to book in advance next time. Still, 'Beach House' restaurant more than made up for it as did the quality of food in main and buffet restaurant. Couldn't get off at St Peter Port due to 2-3 metre swell which again disappointed but the captain turned round and went straight up to Zeebrugge so we had two days in Bruges to compensate which given my affinity with Belgian ale again more than compensated... as did the Mussels. Service on board was exemplary with one exception - on boarding the coffee and cake lounge we visited was overwhelmed resulting in a 40 minute wait for a drink. This may be as a result of several hundred passengers hitting the bars and lounges all at once. Having said that the staff were always smiling and nothing was too much trouble, a step up from our last cruise (NDL). Will definitely sail P&O again...

This did not meet our expectations. We found our own way into a poorly cleaned de lux balcony cabin on deck 10 and we were moved to a lesser cabin on deck with a non-view balcony! But I was assured this was still a del lux balcony cabin ... not ... Food OK, service OK but too regimented with their seating sergents! There was too much bingo and packaged entertainment, poor jokes and knees-ups for our taste, so this is our maiden P & O cruise and last. Back to the river cruises for us which are much better .

Fantastic time, good food, and great crew. Only complaint: passengers putting towels on sunbeds and not using them, even on shore days they put towels on and went ashore. Thanks P&O, will cruise with them again.
