Arcadia Reviews
View Cruise DealsLovely ship, average itinerary, overall great time had by all.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Nothing was to much trouble for them. The food was really good and with a great menu choice in the restaurants. The buffet food was also great and plenty of choice. The entertainment was quite good. The excursions were good but quite expensive. Overall we had a lovely holiday and are looking forward to booking another cruise very shortly.
I loved this cruise! The service was fantastic as was the food. Staff were so friendly, helpful and hardworking. Entertainment was top-notch and there was a wide choice of activities. The ship is clean and smart with lots of different areas to sit quietly if you want to. I would definitely cruise on P&O Arcadia again. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!
16 night cruise to Norway and Iceland on P&O Arcadia. Whilst it’s an old ship, and tired in places, we loved it. All public areas are lovely, newly carpeted and immaculately clean. Staff was excellent, with most people seeming happy in their work. Food in the MDR and buffet was typically ‘British’ so not wildly exciting, but we enjoyed every meal. We took many breakfasts and lunches in the MDR rather than the buffet - these were particularly enjoyable. The Sindhu specialty restaurant was fabulous, so had to dine there twice. Ocean Grill ….mmm, not too keen. Menu changed the day we went, and most items were steak (which I’d eaten lots of in the MDR) or seafood, which I don’t eat, so I chose chicken. It was a chicken breast, boring and unenjoyable. Dessert (raspberry and ginger cheesecake) was a glass containing a crushed ginger nut, raspberry compote and yoghurt. Not very impressed. Had a balcony stateroom (E14), which was a bit dated, but spacious, well appointed and very clean. We’ve always cruised Princess and Celebrity in the past, where the ships are modern and glitzy, but I think Arcadia has become my new favourite. I wouldn’t hesitate to sail on her again. I would also be more than happy to sail with P&O again, especially as this was the best value cruise we’ve ever taken. Norway and Iceland were superb; we went on some great tours, including whale watching and Golden Circle. Fabulous holiday, thank you.
We were upgraded from balcony to mini suite which was amazing starting with priority boarding priority lunch. Our cabin was lovely.
All good.
This was our second P & O cruise this year and we were not disappointed in any way. We are booked again on Iona on 11th November for some winter sun.
Good, relaxing cruise.
We had a relatively minor problem which was dealt with quickly and efficiently. It necessitated us having to change our cabin. The Deck Officer, certainly went the extra mile for us. We received 'Good Old Fashioned' service, which is what we have always had from our favourite cruise company. I would definitely rate our experience as 6 ****** !!!!
A wonderful cruise. Very friendly ship, have travelled on thie ship before and still came up to expectations, Iglu made the experience easy without any challenges. Will be using Iglu for future bookings.
