P&O Cruises'
adult only ship,
P&O Adonia, joined the fleet 27th April 2010, replacing the popular Artemis. With eight classically styled decks, beautifully crafted decor and only 710 passengers she is the most intimate ship in the P&O fleet.
Previously, the Royal Princess, cruisers of that ship will know just what to expect from the P&O Adonia. Adonia offers a cruise with real charm and elegance. The amenities are extensive, but not over-whelming and the atmosphere will be polite and calming.
The P&O Adonia at only 180 metres in length can reach places and ports the larger super liners can't and as a result will be visiting lesser know and more intimate locations as well the classic popular ports of call. During summer the Adonia will be sailing from Southampton on Western
Mediterranean cruises and combining ports such as Huelva, Portofino with Rome and Barcelona. During the winter the Adonia will be offering fly cruises to the hidden treasures of both the
Central Mediterranean and
Eastern Mediterranean, ports of call will include Zadar in Croatia, Vols in Greece and Izmar, Turkey.
The P&O Adonia is graced with a great choice of dining options combining the six course silver service in the main restaurant with speciality restaurants onboard. In keeping with the Mediterranaean cruises head to Sorento's for Italian style cuisine or the Ocean Grill for a fantastic selection of seafood and great steaks.
The intimate decks of P&O Adonia include the signature Crow's Nest observation lounge for the perfect nautical atmosphere. And of course, Anderson's, the traditional club-style lounge bar with fireplace, named after the P&O founder, Arthur Anderson. Not forgetting a grand lounge featuring a gorgeous inlaid wooden dance floor to get the party started, and a stage where a range of after-dinner entertainment and speakers will feature.
A holiday is the perfect opportunity to treat yourself in a way that you don’t necessarily have the time to do at home. It gives you the time to truly enjoy those little pleasures in life, of which spa treatments are one of the most indulgent.
More than just sheer unadulterated pampering though, you will find that many of the treatments available also have real health benefits. From working out those niggling knots with a massage to detoxifying your body. If you want to make yourself look and feel years younger then we have everything from slimming treatments to anti-wrinkle facials.
With restful private treatment rooms and expert therapists you can switch off and give in to sheer bliss. The spa isn’t just the realm of women either, we have also developed an extensive range of treatments specifically designed for men.
There is plenty to explore onboard P&O Adonia, including an extensive library with over 4,000 titles and quintessentially British in style. There is also the Curzon Lounge which features an inlaid wooden dance floor, the traditional Anderson's bar and the Crow's Nest observation lounge.
The dress code onboard Adonia is described as smart casual, with a number formal nights also taking place depending on the length of the cruise. Smart casual is either country club or jacket and trousers for dinner in the main restaurants, though there is a casual dress code in the buffet dining. The formal nights onboard are black tie for the gents and elegant dress for the ladies.
