What cruise ships have you been on and what did you enjoy about them?

I worked for Carnival Cruises for 2 years. I have been on Carnival Elation, Glory, Freedom and Paradise. I also recently enjoyed a holiday on the Carnival Inspiration. I loved being able to visit so many fabulous ports and meet lots of new

people. Cruising gave me the opportunity to work, travel and have fun, all at the same time.

What has been your most memorable experience?

I enjoyed it all as everyday brings something different. I signed up for everything I could. For example, I can't swim but I found myself on some crazy water tour in Belize. It was a great experience and I was well looked after.

What has been the best meal you've had on a cruise?

I've had some great food on all the Carnival ships, in both the a la carte and buffet restaurants. However my best meal was an amazing prawn dish whilst docked in Mexico. They were delicious and I don't normally even like prawns.

What extra things do I need to budget for on a cruise holiday?

You will need money for alcoholic drinks, gratuities and if you wish to eat in one of speciality restauraunts onboard. These are all charged to your onboard account and will need to be paid for by cash or credit card on departure. It also depends on your ports of call. Destinations like San Juan in Puerto Rico are great for shopping as it is all tax free; even better if cruising back to the UK as there are no luggage restrictions. Also, you might wish to book shore excursions if you didn't book them before the cruise.
