Formerly the well loved luxury liner Cunard Countess, Ocean Countess is rejoining the UK cruise market following a £3M refit and refurbishment.
Sailing a range of Northern European and Mediterranean itineraries, Ocean Countess with her crew of 350 and passenger numbers around 600-800 guests will offer a high quality, yet relaxed cruise experience from a range of different UK ports.
New to Iglucruise, the departure ports of Hull and Plymouth will feature as will Newcastle, Leith, Liverpool and Greenock - offering convenience and great value to guests all over the UK. Cruises from London Tilbury (where stable mate Marco Polo is sailing from in 2010) will also feature.
For tipping onboard, the recommended amount is £5 per person, per day - £4 for voyages of 16 nights or more
Note although Ocean Countess has wheelchair adapted cabins, the ship isn't suitable for fully wheelchair bound passenges.
Ocean Countess offers traditional two sitting dining, 6:30 or 8:00 pm - in the Kensington Restaurant (dress code is smart , but not overly formal) in the evenings and as an alternative, enjoy a light lunch at the Boat House on Restaurant Deck or by the pool on Lido Deck.
Onboard you'll find a casino, as well as a Cinema/Theatre and a selection of bars where live music is frequently played.
As well as the swimming pool (with pool bar), there are 2 whirlpools and a sauna/massage room. There is also a fitness centre/gym on Ouranos Deck.
There's a small children's playroom, Beauty salon, shopping area, Library, Photoshop and medical facility
