Excellent service all round. We enjoy freestyle and casual dining. The food was excellent, always good fish as we do not eat meat.

Great cruise ship - fabulous facilities, lovely staterooms, great entertainment and fantastic restaurants. Had a problem with Tapanyaki as the chefs started 30 minutes late, his superior then offered us a full refund. Quite expensive drinks and not a great cocktail list, charge 18.5% surcharge on drinks and meals. Also $12 per person added per day to the bill for tips, this can be removed - by filling in a form and explaining why. Would probably cruise with NCL again.

Check in - quick, but then had to sit and wait nearly 2 hours to board as they do it by number system. This was frustrating after having been travelling for hours, and there is nothing in the check in area. Ship - Decor nice. Cabin spacious with plenty of storage space. Very clean. Food in Garden Cafe superb, amazing selection to suit every taste. Variety of bars available with plenty of seating. Plenty of sunbeds for passengers - although some people put towels out early morning, yet never appeared for hours. House keeping - really cheerful, kept cabins immaculate. Main restaurant - food disappointing. Food in Garden Cafe much tastier and better selection. Bar staff / Waiters - not enough bar staff or waiters in the bars. Often waiting ages to get served, and going to the bar yourself was quicker than waiting for a waiter. We found these staff rather miserable, hardly any smiled or seemed cheerful. Shows - Excellent all round, plenty of seating too. Port information - Limited. We had a nice holiday, but we have done 4 previous cruises - would rank this one 4th overall.

Cruise 23/5 - 30-5/ 2015. Wonderful food and staff and cabins very well appointed. Nothing was too much trouble, will definitely use NCL again. 6 of us this time, next time we will bring the rest of our close family. Keep up the good work. Pity about the delays experienced at Venice airport (getting away) it needs to be bigger for that number of travellers, it took us all of two hours to get to our boarding gate.

Iglu customer service was very good, easy to contact with any queries. Cruise was excellent, transfers were included and organised. Communication from NCL was very good. Excellent ship, very clean with excellent customer service. Dining room food very good, buffet was good although at times difficult to get a seat particular during sea days. Enjoyed cagneys restaurant which was good, disappointed in Brazilian restaurant, service was very slow, and food was not particular good. Cabin stewart was excellent, cabin was very clean and he worked hard to high standards. All staff were very friendly and happy to help, without having to ask.

Generally we are not fans of NCL as we prefer the old style formal nights rather than NCL's Freestyle Dining. However, we had the Ultimate Dining Package and ate in speciality restaurants nearly every night. Cagney's, Le Bistro and Teppanyaki were excellent while the others did not suit us quite as well. We like jazz especially and the Jade Show Band were excellent; Carlos a singer/guitarist and Prism were also good. Other entertainment was not for us. Itinerary suited us and sailing out of Venice with a dinner-time window table was a highlight. Ashore seeing the Terrace Houses at Ephesus was the highlight. Ship is starting to look a bit tired now and could do with the decor being upgraded.

We have just had a pleasant one week cruise on NCL Jade. It was a budget cruise so we didn't have great expectations but were pleasantly surprised at the overall general standard. The cabin was a little smaller than we have been used to but it had everything we needed including a coffee/tea maker which gave us a little more flexibility first thing. The decor of the ship takes a little getting used to as it is over the top bright and colourful having been designed for Hawaii cruising but amusing in its own way. The food was good ( not special ) in the main dining rooms and in the buffet. Of the speciality restaurants the French Bistro was far the best and worth the extra cost. Tepanyaki was good and very entertaining but not good if you have a big appetite. The other restaurants were not worth paying extra for and the staff serving the food in Moderno, the Brazilian meat fest, seemed to be doing it under duress. We had the drinks package which was very worthwhile as the prices otherwise are high. There is an $11 limit per person per drink which covers most things but the staff all had different ideas about how to implement the rules. If you wanted a double spirit one person would serve it then the next wouldn't so you had to ask for the second measure as a second transaction ! There are a lot of things that are charged for as extras including decent coffee, breakfast smoothy, courtesy bus ashore etc. etc. so watch out. We can't vouch for all the entertainment but the main show towards the end of the cruise was stunning, worthy of the West End of London or Times Square. If you have a cabin spend included as part of your package don't assume that it will cover your gratuities, it won't. They carefully omit to tell that so when I came to settle my account they had charged for service against my credit card leaving me nearly $200 dollars in credit which you could only spend in the camera shop as all the rest of the shops were shut ! Beware. All in all we would use NCL again as we enjoyed ourselves and now know the wrinkles.

We have just come back from this ship and enjoyed this holiday and the free-style cruising more than any of the other cruises we went on. We were able to sit together and eat where we wanted and at what time we fancied. The food and service was amazing and we found no need to pay extra to visit the speciality restaurants as food standard and selection was great at main dining rooms. Entertainment was also good especially Elements show and White Party. Kevin Cook at Iglu helped us arrange flights from Heathrow and an extra day in Venice with private transfers to the hotel and airport. The Hilton hotel they put us in was fantastic. We are now sold on NCl and even more impressed with Iglu. An unforgettable holiday!
