The second of Norwegian Cruise Lines new ships is the Norwegian Getaway, sister ship to the Norwegian Breakaway. The Norwegian Getaway will be the second of the two ships to launch and is due to arrive is April 2014.
The Norwegian Getaway havs been designed to combine the innovations of the Norwegian Epic, their largest ship, with the aesthetics and style of their popular Jewel class ships. At 144,017 tonnes, the ship will carry approximately 4,000 passengers and will offer a vast array of contemporary, comfortable staterooms.
The Norwegian Getaway will boast one of NCL's most exciting new innovations, The Haven. First seen onboard the Norwegian Epic, The Haven offers a world of luxury and privacy, usually found on more intimate ships, onboard one of the world's largest new ships — the concept being to offer ship within a ship. The Haven is only available to guests booking into the luxury Haven suites and will boast exquisite décor and personalised service, with a 24 hour butler service offered by certified butlers from the International Institutes of Modern Butlers. The private pool will have its own valet service, there will be white tablecloth in-suite dining available and exclusive access to The Haven Courtyard with private pool, sundeck, hot tub and fitness area.
From the Freestyle dining made famous throughout the fleet to the elegant, private dining of the Haven, the Norwegian Getaway will offer a superb selection of cuisine. From heading to the main dining rooms, to enjoying a sumptuous three course meal. There is also a selection of alternate dining options, including a buffet and several of the cruise line's most popular venues from the Norwegian Epic and Jewel Class ships.
NCL are renowned for their entertainment, whether it be performances of the Blue Man group, enjoying a perfectly made Martini or heading feet first down the waterslide. With the most popular innovations, acts and venues from the current fleet, mixed in with a few surprises, the Norwegian Getaway will have more than enough to keep the whole family entertained at sea.
