Summary:  I have been twice on the Epic and will be returning again this May. We love the ship and once you get to grips with its size it offers a huge variety of experiences and dining options. The water park and climbing wall great for kids. The Blueman group and Cirque are great, unique entertainment. Worth getting a balcony cabin if you can.

Summary:  I was on the Epic a few months ago and loved this. The ship itself is still newish (2010). The interior of this ship is very American and very modern, they even have an escalator! I really loved the freestyle dining on board, this meant that you could dine when you wanted. We ate mostly in the dushi bar, the steak house, the Italian and the buffet. You really got to suit yourself. The entertainment on board is amazing, there is the Blue Man Group who are fantastic! I really loved the Comedy Club and spent every night in there, so, so funny. I liked the fact that the other passengers on board were all informal and friendly something that you don't normally find on board ships. Everyone mixed and all had a laugh. I would definitely do this ship again as it was a 5* informal experience and the dining on board was the best I have ever had!

Summary:  Just returned from a holiday on board Norwegian Epic. What a magnificent ship, I was truly impressed. The staff were helpful and could not do enough to help. The food was good and the variety impressive. The ship was kept to a very high standard. The stateroom were comfortable and the beds were too. I have not slept as well in a long time. There was lots to do, the entertainment was good. From an organisational perceptive things were well run, the excursion were good but rather expensive. The tour buses were comfortable, air conditioned with an English speaking guide. I would defiantly book again, great hoilday!

Summary:  We joined the Epic in Barcelona having flown out the day before via Easy Jet, beware of rip off taxi drivers taking you to the docks! Embarking was great, really quick we were onboard within 20 mins of arriving at the dockside, while the cabins wern't ready until 2 this gave us time to walk round and explore the ship, the garden cafe is a good place to eat. The cabin was excellent, we had a midships balcony cabin and couldn't fault it, there was one bulb not working when we got there and this was fixed in minutes. There is ample storage space in the cabin the bed was excellent and the shower huge. The ship overall was great, we had read bad reviews about the food before we went but they must have been on a different ship, not once did we have a bad meal either in one of the many resturants or via the free room service. We tried to do a different bit of the varied entertainment every night and while in the most part we did, the Fat Cats Jazz lounge was the best for us, though the Blue man Group were a real laugh. The trips were okay, Florence on our own was good, though beware if you are eldery as its a long walk from the coach stop to the city, Rome escorted was good but very busy lots of walking and toilets were rare! Sorrento on your own for half a day was not worth the money, we had 1 hour and 20 mins in the town for a 3 hour round trip. Value for money was good except for the cost of bottled water onbard which is a rip off. Also there was no papers which surprised me as it would be simple for the ship to do and the one time I get to put my feet up and read one is on holiday. A great boat, we would go back, a great holiday with brilliant food and pampering like I've never had.

Summary:  This was my first cruise. The ship is huge and there were an awful lot of people on board! In fact nearly 5000 passengers and about 1700 staff. The staff were very polite and helpful; in some cases they were particularly pleasant if you got to interact with them, the more so as the week went on and we got to know each other. Dining - a lot of variety but slightly disappointing that additional charges charges were levied in some restaurants although it is fair to say that this did create a bit of "exclusivity". The main buffet restaurant was something of a rugby scrum. If you are British you will want to take your own tea bags and make sure you take you own pasteurised milk as this was simply not available - only that awful UHT stuff. Breakfast became a whole lot better after we had gone out and bought these items. There were looks of surprise from the staff who did not really appreciate how the British like and need their tea. We had to ask them to warm the pot - which they did willingly even if they did not really understand why! Off-boat activities were expensive and involved a lot of travelling by road. I think the secret of cruising is to choose your route carefully and visit ports where you do not need to travel a lot. I suspect a smaller vessel would be a little more intimate; big is not necessarily the most beautiful

Summary:  We were on Norwegian Epic December 2010 for a seven night Mexican cruise. The Epic is huge and too congested for my liking as we are a retired couple. There were a lot of facilities for young families, like the water park and the rock climbing, but there were not enough entertainment choices for retired people. The only programme we enjoyed was the Bluemen group, they were very amusing and professional. The other entertainment was just average. The food is okay. My comment is that the Norwegian Epic is not for retired people, there are other cruise lines, such as Princess Cruise, who do a much better job. It is a non smoking ship and they allowed people to chain smoke in the casicno, a very bad policy.

Summary:  This was the Maiden voyage across the transatlantic. It is a beautifully decorated ship however the new design of bathroom facilities in cabins is questionable. Hand basin outside toilet cubicle - really not hygienic. My husband found basin too small for shaving. Great size shower. Great beds and bedding but rounded edges may prove a problem for anyone taller than 5'7". A new thing to have to book were certain shows. The Circus dinner show was fabulous as was the comedy. Not quite sure about the Blue Man Show but most liked the craziness. Food in all venues excellent- especially the Bistro.

Summary:  Words cannot possible describe how amazing this ship truly is. From the moment I boarded I was taken aback by everything it had to offer. The cabin we stayed in was fantastic and the bed was to die for with comfort and had everything we needed. The food was brilliant and what a variety of places, so many in fact that we didn't manage to get around them all during the maiden voyage. All the crew were wonderful and we had some fun times including me entertaining the deck crew with a rendition of Singin' In The Rain in a large puddle that occurred when the pool overflowed...so much so that for the rest of the voyage I had repeat requests for an encore. The entertainment was second to none and I enjoyed them all however 3 acts stood out for me...Howl At The Moon were incredible and it's amazing just how many songs they hold within their heads, Fat Cats with Slam Allen was also fantastic and one of my fondest memories is being with the crew during a late night (2am) jamming session on the final night, they sure can play some wicked tunes. However my favourite act aboard the Epic has to go to Bernie Martini who was found within the Shakers Martini Lounge, after hearing him roll out a Frank Sinatra hit (Fly Me To The Moon) I was hooked and was hence forth there every single night of the voyage, words cannot describe the amazing talent this guy has, so much so that he can rival that of Michael Buble. I have left the cruise with some new friends in tow who I will keep in touch with for years to come. Roll on May 2011 when we board her again from Miami to Barcelona...I cannot wait.
