has announced a new Gastropub dining venue to feature in the Wheelhouse Bar onboard some of their ships. The Salty Dog Gastropub will introduce pub-food favourites in the form of small gourmet dishes perfectly paired with craft beers, cocktails wines and whiskies.
The Salty Dog debuted onboard Crown Princess
in November and features a delicious menu devised by the talented Chef Ernesto Uchimura, who was recently awarded “Chef of the year: The Comfort Master” by Los Angeles Magazine.
Diners can choose from hearty classics with a gourmet twist, such as Pale Ale Pork Cheeks, Spicy Stout Short Ribs, Wild Mushroom Saute, Lobster Mac n Cheese, and piece de resistance - The Ernesto Burger. Chef Uchimura’s tantalising creation of a rib eye and short rib beef patty, grilled pork belly, caramelized kimchi, beer battered jalapeno, charred onion aioli and cave aged gruyere cheese. Alongside The Salty Dog, the Wheelhouse Bar is also introducing a new international whisky bar menu. Inspired by and featuring some of the best Scotch whisky’s, American Bourbons and international whisky’s from Japan, Ireland and Australia.
The Salty Dog and new whisky bar menu are currently available onboard Crown Princess, Emerald Princess
and Ruby Princess
. The whisky bar menu will be available on all ships (except Pacific Princess) by the summer of 2016.
