Luxury line Seabourn have confirmed plans to build another new ship, set for delivery in 2018.
Based on Seabourn’s Odyssey-class of ships, it will feature only suites with 302 of them having a private balcony. Set to carry 604 passengers, the intimate ship will carry 154 more passengers than Odyssey, Sojourn and Quest.
The new ship, along with a sister ship debuting in 2016 are part of Seabourn’s fleet modernisation project that began in 2009. The new ship will also be built at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy.
Richard D Meadows, President of Seabourn said "We're very pleased that the demand for our brand has allowed us to add a second new ultra-luxury ship to our expanding fleet. These two ships will offer the understated elegance we are known for, as well as new amenities, innovations and modern design features that embody the hallmarks of Seabourn."
No dates or itinerary details for either ships have been revealed yet.
