New Royal Caribbean Cruises'
vessel Independence of the Seas
will be making a splash next month as it hosts a live gig by breakthrough band Scouting For Girls.
On April 26th, the band will perform such hits as She's So Lovely and Elvis Ain't Dead on the top deck of Independence of the Seas
, after Royal Caribbean Cruises teamed up with Virgin Radio for the event, TTG Live reports.
Scouting For Girls' show will be broadcast on Virgin Radio live for those who are not among the 2,000 passengers and guests enjoying the event in person.
"Virgin Radio is offering us an amazing opportunity to create a real rock and roll launch for Independence of the Seas and create massive awareness," Jo Briody, brand manager for Royal Caribbean Cruises
, UK and Ireland commented.
Meanwhile, David Lloyd, Virgin Radio's programme and marketing director added that Independence of the Seas
was the "biggest cruise ship in the world".
