Navigator is now sailing from Vancouver to Seward, Alaska, boasting a complete revamp of the ship's eight Grand Suites & Master Suites, along with the new dining area, Mari at La Veranda— which offers intimate Italian a la carte and buffet dining.

Graham Sadler, Regent Seven Seas' Managing Director for UK and Europe, said: "The Regent Seven Seas experience has certainly evolved over the past 20 years, and this latest renovation signals our ongoing commitment to delivering the most sought-after, all-inclusive luxury travel experience. From small touches to major upgrades such as this, the subtle luxury and unparalleled comfort of these enhancements are designed with the guest in mind."

The refresh of the suites includes new built-in cabinetry, custom-crafted furnishings, new balcony furniture, plush new carpets, designer accessories and original art. All of the ship's other suites have also been given a face lift, benefitting from new carpets, wall coverings, new dining tables and outdoor furniture.

The addition of Mari and La Verandah is an interesting addition to the ship. The venue is an Italian restaurant that is based in La Verandah dining room in the evenings and will boast a la carte dining alongside buffet dining. The menu will include authentic antipasti and speciality dishes, along with al fresco dining — weather permitting of course. During the rest of the day, La Verandah will continue to operate as the ship's buffet.

Other improvements to Navigator include enlarging Prime 7 — Seven Seas Navigator's American-style steakhouse — to accommodate 70 guests and features a new contemporary sculpture at its entrance. The Galileo Lounge has also benefitted from a face lift, new carpeting has been fitted throughout the public areas in deck 12 and the Canyon Ranch Spa Club® have been given updated saunas.

Regent Seven Seas Celebrate 20th Anniversary With A New Restaurant Regent Seven Seas, the luxury all-inclusive cruise line, are celebrating their 20th anniversary season by launching a new restaurant on all three of their ships, with the debut of Sette Mari at Le Veranda.

The name of the new casual dining venue translates from Italian as "seven seas" and will compliment the cruise lines diverse gourmet dining options across their fleet. The restaurant is situated in La Veranda, and will transfer the popular buffet restaurant each evening into Sette Mari — offering an extensive menu of authentic antipasti and Italian specialty items, paired with distinctive Italian wines.

Mark Conroy, Regent Seven Seas' President, said: "Sette Mari will not require reservations based on guest feedback and offers the perfect complement to the dining venues on our ships. After a full day ashore, guests can select appetizers and the house-made pasta on their own and be finished in as little as 45 minutes or enjoy a leisurely evening ordering specialties from the menu."

Bernhard Klotz, Culinary Director for Regent Seven Seas Cruises, said: "This new restaurant concept is a substantial enhancement to current menu items featured for dinner in La Veranda."

Sette Mari will debut 30th May 2012 onboard Seven Seas Navigator and will be available onboard Seven Seas Voyager from 2nd July and Seven Seas Mariner from 13th July. Sette Mari is only open for dinner and will not require reservation, during other meals times the buffet will continue to operate as La Veranda.

"We originally piloted this programme on select sailings and are so pleased to be able to offer this unique offering now to all of our guests," said Sophie Vlessing, Vice-President of Guest Strategy and Marketing with Regent Seven Seas Cruises.

"Our partnership with SharedBook offers guests an innovative way to create a personalised commemorative album and re-live The Regent Experience for years to come."

Voyagers can enjoy a 36-page, professionally printed album in either a hard or a soft cover, which contains pictures of the ports of call, as well as information about the vessel, highlights of cruise activities and facts about the locations visited.

To personalise this unique offering, guests can intersperse these features with their own memories, individual anecdotes and private photos.

Regent Seven Seas explores Antarctica Regent Seven Seas Cruises has added four new Antarctica cruises to its 2007-08 programme.

Due to overwhelming demand, the luxury cruise line will take passengers to the outer limits of the starkly beautiful continent.

Voyagers onboard Explorer II will visit the Falkland Islands and Port Stanley before heading to the Shetland Islands and the dramatic Antarctic Peninsula, before heading along Cape Horn, through Drake Passage and finally landing at Ushuaia.

Choosing from new departure dates of November 8th or 24th, December 20th 2007 and February 20th 2008, passengers can choose from 10 or 16-night cruises.

"We have seen such a strong demand for Antarctica as a destination that our initial two charters quickly sold out," said Mark Conroy, Regent Seven Seas Cruises' President.

"So we are pleased to have secured some group space to be able to offer our guests additional opportunities to visit this rarely seen part of the world," he added.

In related news, the line inaugurated Vancouver's new Campbell River cruise ship terminal on June 5th.

2007 cruises not to be missed
Cruise Critic recommends a good mix in its top five, with new liners, huge ships and enticing itineraries among the suggested selection that is sure to delight cruise guests.

Sailing on Regent Seven Seas' Voyager or Cunard's Queen Mary 2 is suggested if spending plenty of time enjoying the luxuries on board a cruise liner is your thing. The former offers all-at-sea cruises, with something similar available from Cunard too.

If new ships are what interest you, Cruise Critic recommends cruising to Bermuda on the new Celebrity Cruises ship Journey, which begins work in May, or taking to the seas on Liberty of the Seas when it enters service in April.

Sapphire Princess, the Princess Cruises ship, also gets a nod from the reviewer, with its 16-night trip around Asia selected as the pick of the bunch.

Costa Cruises recently announced that it would be running a new itinerary in Asia this year, with Hong Kong the departure and arrival port.
