Cruise lovers opting for holidays on ships operated by Royal Caribbean Cruises
can book their holidays with even more confidence following the company's new membership of ABTA - The Travel Association.
The firm joined the UK travel association on October 1st in a bid to help champion the interests of the cruise sector, according to Robin Shaw, Royal Caribbean Cruises' UK and Ireland vice president and managing director.
He explained that it is vital for the travel and tourism sector to present a united front, saying that ABTA "is taking on the challenge to be the main lobbying body".
Welcoming the company, ABTA chief executive Mark Tanzer said that the cruise line is "a great addition to the ABTA family".
"The high standards and range of services provided by Royal Caribbean are recognised throughout the industry and ABTA membership can only enhance them."
More than 280 ports in 81 different countries across six continents are covered by Royal Caribbean Cruises' ships, whose range will be boosted in December with the addition of Oasis of the Seas
