holiday to Alaska could get more of an insider's view than ever before following the appointment of a prestigious Alaskan resident and figurehead to an executive position.
The cruise line has appointed Bruce Bustamante to the position of Vice President of Community and Public Affairs in the region.
According to the company, the move will "increase local involvement and communication" with links in the area - vital for holidaymakers looking for an authentic perspective on the worldwide locations visited by the cruise line.Princess Cruises
operates 14 ships sailing to seven continents ? combining a wide range of locations with a sensitive local focus.
Mr Bustamante's extensive experience has provided him with an intimate view of Alaska ? he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Anchorage Convention and Visitors Bureau in the area for seven years prior to this appointment.
