has announced a number of new additions to its 2010-11 cruise calendar.
Following on from the strong demand seen for the operator's luxury cruise holidays around the Pacific and to Hawaii, executive vice president Jan Swartz has announced that the Sapphire Princess
will offer seven additional sailings over the course of the season.
These will begin with a two-day Pacific Coastal cruise from Vancouver to San Francisco on September 20th 2010, while on September 22nd, the luxury liner will depart from the Californian city for a 30-day cruise around Hawaii, Tahiti and the South Pacific.
The Sapphire Princess will also be undertaking a number of Mexican Riviera roundtrips out of Los Angeles in addition to two voyages from the US to Sydney in Australia.
"Due to the enthusiastic response to our 2009 trans-Pacific sailing we wanted to offer additional opportunities to experience this unique itinerary," Swartz explained.
"The two new month-long sailings visiting 13 tropical ports of call will give cruisers a true taste of the idyllic South Pacific."
The Sapphire Princess, which was christened in the port of Seattle in 2004, carries up to 2,670 passengers in addition to 1,100 crew members.
