Political satirist to sail onboard Queen Mary 2

Date Posted: 18 Feb 2009
Category:
Author and political satirist Christopher Buckley will be joining several other literary luminaries for a transatlantic voyage onboard the Cunard Line'sQueen Mary 2 later this year.

Buckley, who was recently described by Fortune magazine as the "quintessential political novelist of our time", will be travelling onboard the November 5th crossing from New York to Southampton.

Along with authors including Erica Jong and Amy Bloom, Buckley will deliver a number of lectures and take part in question and answer discussions with passengers.

Carol Marlow, president of the Cunard Line, said that Buckley's "insider intelligence" would be engaging and entertaining for guests.

"His humorous take on Washington's political life is always fresh and appealing and we know his unique brand of wit will resonate with our guests," she added.
Destinations currently served by the Cunard line include the Canaries, Mediterranean and Caribbean.
