New Zealand has been named as the world's best destination at the Telegraph Travel Awards 2008.
Telegraph Group Travel Editor Graham Boynton said that people enjoyed the serenity, friendliness and unspoilt environment of New Zealand.
This latest award comes just a month after New Zealand was named as the best destination at the Virgin Holidays Responsible Tourism Awards.
Commenting on this latest accolade Tourism New Zealand chief executive George Hickton said: "We never take these awards for granted and the New Zealand tourism industry is always looking for ways to improve peoples time in New Zealand to send them away with great stories to tell their friends and family."
Mr Hickton added that New Zealand's profile had never been higher than at this present time.
Some of New Zealand's most popular attractions include the Rainbow Springs Nature Park and New Zealand National Maritime Museum.
