New teen payment card introduced by MSC Cruises

Date Posted: 13 May 2008
A new teen payment card has been introduced by MSC Cruises, aimed at passengers in the 12 to 17 age group.

My Teen Card, which is now available onboard all MSC ships, can be used by children to purchase snacks and gifts from around the ship, affording them some independence while on holiday.

According to, cards are available for $30 (£15) and $50 - on Caribbean holidays and by €30 (£23) and €50 onboard ships on Med cruises and Europe cruises.

Richard E Sasso, president and chief executive of MSC Cruises USA, commented: "We are a family-owned and family-oriented cruise line and My Teen Card acknowledges the fact that teens desire a certain level of independence when it comes to onboard purchases."

Italian-owned MSC also offers South African and South America cruises.
