A new Holland America Line
ship is to be built, it has been announced.
The new 2,200-passenger ship is to be constructed by Italian firm Fincantieri with delivery estimated to be 2010.
Due to be a sister ship to the prestigious Eurodam
, Stein Kruse, Holland America Line's
President and Chief Executive Officer comments: "These two elegant vessels will embody the many on-board amenities that Holland America Line first introduced to cruising as part of our very successful Signature of Excellence initiative."
Set to include a 144-seat speciality restaurant, outside-view glass elevators and a luxury spa and salon with thermal suites, 85 per cent of the liner's staterooms will boast a view of the ocean.

Holland America Line opened a new office in Rotterdam earlier this year.
