NCL takes Broadway to sea

Date Posted: 26 Jun 2007

Norwegian Cruise Line is to incorporate a successful Broadway musical into a selection of its cruises.

Hit show Tony n' Tina's Wedding is to be performed on Pride of America, Pride of Aloha and Pride of Hawaii.

The performance, which satirises a traditional Italian wedding to tremendous effect, operates the innovative theatrical device of inviting spectators to join the show at the beginning of the evening, immersing them in a wedding party to remember.

"Along with great restaurants, amenities, itineraries, shore excursions and accommodation, we also want to offer our passengers the best and most creative entertainment options possible," commented Colin Veitch, President and Chief Executive Officer for Norwegian Cruise Line.

"Tony n' Tina's Wedding is the ultimate experience combining fantastic food and drinks with a fun and unique theatrical show," he added.

Meanwhile, the line recently announced that three of its ships are to be deployed in Europe next year.
