MSC Fantasia has been made a recipient of the prestigious Six Golden Pearls award, in recognition of the high standards onboard.
The vessel, which is operated by MSC Cruises
is the first ship in the world to receive this award from international classification society Bureau Veritas.
Six Golden Pearls is an award presented to ships with the highest environmental, health and food safety standards.
Welcoming this prestigious accolade, Emilio La Scala, general manager of the MSC Cruises technical department, said: "Quality, health, safety and environment are at the top of our priority list from the moment of first design.
"For all of us, MSC Fantasia is a fantastic example of all our dreams, plans and technologies coming together in one beautiful result."
The newest addition to the MSC fleet, Fantasia was officially handed over during a ceremony in France last week and will be christened on December 18th in Naples.
