Oasis of the Seas has played host to basketball legend Michael Jordan as he made the dream of one girl in the Caribbean come true.
The former Chicago Bulls player used the world's largest cruise ship, which is operated by
Royal Caribbean Cruises, as the base for his meeting with 15-year-old Monte'kia Jones, who suffers from chronic lung disease.
Meeting her in his capacity as chief ambassador for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Jordan and Ms Jones took photos and exchanged gifts onboard the vessel, which spends most of its time sailing the Caribbean.
According to wpbf.com, the teenager researched the charity and contacted it in the hope of meeting the star, although local volunteer Chris Kendall was pessimistic about it.
"She just happened to see the ship on television and said I'd love to do that and then we got the call that she could meet Michael Jordan on the ship," he told the website.
Oasis of the Seas was recently inaugurated with seven celebrity godmothers presiding over the festivities.
