Holland America Line
has announced plans to upgrade several of its ships.
Speaking earlier this week, the cruise line said it planned to create additional staterooms on the ms Statendam, ms Maasdam, ms Ryndam, ms Veendam and ms Rotterdam, as part of Holland America Line's $200 million Signature of Excellence programme.
A number of new lanai staterooms will be constructed, as well as several verandas.
"The latest Signature of Excellence instalment enhances our premium product and the stateroom modifications update the layout and décor of the rooms while remaining elegant," said Richard D Meadows, executive vice president of marketing, sales and guest programmes.
In addition, a number of new inside staterooms will also be added to the ships, Cruise Talk Central reports.
In related news, the cruise line also announced plans to deliver a number of entertainment upgrades next year.
