Holland America Line unveils Explorations Team

Premium cruise provider Holland America Line has unveiled its latest offering to passengers – in the form of its new Explorations Team.

Comprising a number of event staff, experts and instructors, the Explorations Team will be on hand to keep guests educated and entertained throughout their voyages.

Cruises that last longer that 12 days will also feature a book club leader.

Richard D Meadows, executive vice president of marketing, sales and guest programmes, commented: "Our goal is not only to entertain guests but to offer them the opportunity to learn a new skill or discover something about a new port or country; the choice is theirs and the Explorations Team is in place to facilitate that choice."

Guests can expect cookery demonstrations in specially built show kitchens, flower arranging classes and lectures from a destination expert.

In related news, Holland America Line last week announced plans to introduce two new 6-day Scandinavian itineraries.
