Holland America Line
is looking to open up the beauty of Alaska to its cruise ship passengers with its 2009 Alaska cruise schedule.
The cruise line intends to deploy eight ships on three different itineraries during 2009, focusing on three major offers: Glacier Bay Inside Passage, Glacier Discovery and Alaskan Explorer.
Glacier Bay is described as a 65-mile long "must see" fjord which offers glimpses of tidewater glaciers.
"We've arranged our ships and itineraries for 2009 to ensure that everyone who sails, even if they are on board for only three days ... will visit a tidewater glacier," Richard D Meadows, Executive Vice-President of Marketing and Sales commented.
He added that hearing the crack of the ice as a glacier calves in front of you is a sound that should be heard by all cruisers.Holland America Line
