Holland America Line plan 'entertainment enhancements'

Date Posted: 08 Sep 2008
Category:
Luxury cruise provider Holland America Line is set to make a series of entertainment upgrades on five of its most popular vessels.

As part of the company's Signature of Excellence programme, upgrades will be made on the ms Statendam, ms Maasdam, ms Ryndam, ms Veendam and ms Rotterdam.

Enhancements will include new video game rooms, improvements to stage areas, bars and public rooms as well as the installation of new parquet dance floors.

Commenting on the plans, Richard Meadows, vice president of sales, marketing and guest programmes at Holland America Line, said: "The new offerings and entertainment initiatives are designed to be even more compelling and relevant to today's premium cruiser.

"These enhancements will allow us to offer more venues and more choices to our guests."
Work will begin on the vessels in 2009, according to Cruise Talk Central.

In related news, Holland America Line last week announced plans to expand the number of exclusive Merabella boutiques on its ships.
