Holland America comes home to Rotterdam

Holland America Line has always maintained strong links with the Netherlands.

"We tell our guests that our ships take a piece of Holland all over the world", the Director of Sales for Holland America Line's Netherlands division has said.

Manuel Van Engelen's words are set to take on a new significance as the line opens a new office in Rotterdam.

Holland America Line's historic union with its homeland gives voyagers a unique insight into the Netherlands. "

When guests step aboard a Holland America Line ship, they?re stepping onto Dutch soil," said Mr Van Engelen.

Ivo W Opstelten, Lord Mayor of Rotterdam, has voiced the city's welcome to the cruise line, saying that local people "embrace the company as a neighbour and friend to our city".

Rotterdam has the largest port in Europe and is home to an impressive maritime museum.

Holland America Line
has stated its intention to contribute to the city's cultural life, giving cruisers an even bigger taste of the Netherlands than ever.

Always committed to European cruises, Holland America Line also sails to the Caribbean, South America and South Africa.
