Environmentally-conscious cruisers sailing with MSC Cruises
can rest assured that their holiday is a green one.
The company has revealed details of its ongoing commitment to ecological awareness, bolstered by a new agreement with CLAL, the Italian National Consortium for the Collection and Recycling of Aluminum.
Through this agreement, a special aluminum collection is to be made from MSC Cruises
ships departing from Genoa and Venice, with cooking pans, drinks containers and foil all among the items being recycled.
Self-described as being "at the forefront of safeguarding environmental aspects", MSC Cruises
is able to boast that its entire fleet has the ISO 14001 Environmental Protection certificate.
Meanwhile, the company was also one of the first to support the Venice Blue Flag initiative, established to control emissions from ships traveling between the capitol's Bocca di Porto Lido and the Maritime Station.
It was recently announced that stunning ship MSC Orchestra incorporates iTV into its state-of-the-art design.
