Costa launches "Buon Appetito" culinary event

Famed for the quality of its onboard dining, services, Costa Cruises has announced plans to launch a competition which celebrates this.

The "Buon Appetito" culinary contest invites former Costa passengers to submit a description of their most memorable onboard dish or dining experience.

Launched this week, the competition will close on April 17th and applications must be no longer than 300 words.

The author of the winning entry will receive a cruise aboard the Costa Pacifica, as well as a meal for two in the ship's speciality restaurant.

Maurice Zarmati, president and chief executive of Costa Cruise Lines, commented: "While we offer other types of dishes onboard as well, it's the special brand of magic in our Italian dishes that really moves guests to rave about our cuisine."

According to Costa, its chefs create 50 recipes every day, using 3,500 quality ingredients.

The Costa Pacifica is home to five restaurants, 13 bars and a multi-purpose sports court.
