Costa Cruises to introduce Costa Luminosa and Costa Pacifica

Date Posted: 20 Mar 2008
Costa Cruises has announced that it will introduce two new members of its cruise family in 2009, Costa Luminosa and Costa Pacifica.

Costa Luminosa will make her debut in April 2009 with her maiden voyage being a 13-night sailing from Civitavecchia in June to Amsterdam, calling at Portofino, St. Tropez, Barcelona, Lisbon and Le Havre.

The cruise liner's summer season will be spent sailing the Baltic and fjords, the North Cape and Russia.

More than half of the cabins onboard Costa Luminosa feature balconies and the ship will also feature a golf simulator complete with 37 virtual golf courses and an outdoor putting green.

Costa Pacifica, meanwhile, is due to be completed by May 2009 and will sail from Savona in Portofino to Palermo on her eight-night inaugural voyage on June 6th.

The cruise liner will call in at ports in Marseille, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Tunis, and Valletta on her Mediterranean cruise.

Features onboard Costa Pacifica will include the Samsara Spa, a covered swimming pool and a Grand Prix race car driving simulator.
