Celebrity Cruises has the best large ships

Celebrity Cruises has taken the top four places in the annual Conde Nast Traveller readers' survey for the Best Cruise Ships in the World, large ship category.

Constellation, Summit, Infinity and Millennium were ranked number one to number four respectively in the survey, with Galaxy also featuring in the top ten.

"Conde Nast Traveler's annual readers' survey is one of the most meaningful polls in the business and comes at a time when Celebrity is embarking on a particularly exciting period of growth and momentum," said Celebrity's President Dan Hanrahan.

"We're thrilled with this recognition and committed to continuing to offer our guests an experience that inspires them to honour our brand in this way."

In the survey, cruise lines are evaluated in a total of seven different categories: crew/service; food/dining; design/layout; itineraries; shore excursions; cabins; and activities/facilities.

Earlier this month, Celebrity Cruises announced that it will name the third of its new Solstice-class ships Celebrity Eclipse, set to sail its maiden voyage in 2010.
