Individuals who enjoy dining in fine restaurants can continue this lifestyle on their cruise holidays nowadays thanks to a number of celebrity chefs providing their top recipes on board.
Writing for the London Evening Standard, Kate Simon has highlighted that a number of the most recognised cruise liners have restaurants on board that have celebrity chefs behind them.
Gary Rhodes was among the first to provide Michelin-starred cuisine on the Arcadia ship from P&O Cruises
, while Marco Pierre White is another to have joined the ranks of the same cruise provider.
Last year he opened the White Room on board P&O's Ventura
, offering holidaymakers the chance to sample top-notch Mediterranean cuisine while on their break.
Ms Simon states that dining at these restaurants adds a little to the cost of the overall break, as many guests pay a price for their cruise which includes the charge for all of their meals.
Rhodes told the writer: "It was my dream as a student to be head chef of restaurants across the world - I think this is the closest I'll ever get to that, one minute in the Caribbean, the next in the Mediterranean."
Among the other offerings holidaymakers can look forward to on the Arcadia vessel are 3,000 pieces of British artwork displayed around the decks and exterior glass lifts.
