Cruise holidays to Bermuda with Norwegian Cruise Lines
look set to receive a boost from a new deal between the company and the Bermuda government.
It has been announced that 2 of the cruise line's ships are to be deployed in Bermuda over the next decade, with the vessels sailing at least 22 cruises each season between 2009 and 2018.
In 2009, Norwegian Spirit
is to sail from Boston to Bermuda while Norwegian Dawn
is to be launched from New York on its way to the islands.
"Since NCL first began sailing to Bermuda, it has been one of our most popular itineraries and we have developed a truly unique relationship with the community and government of our host destination," commented Colin Veitch, President and Chief Executive Officer of Norwegian Cruise Lines
Travel guide Lonely Planet has described Bermuda as a place defined by sandy beaches and traditional British pastimes like cricket and afternoon tea.
