P&O Cruises have revealed popular ship Aurora will undergo a £26 million makeover and be the first ship to get the new livery.
Launched in 2000 she is one of the smaller P&O Cruises fleet and carries around 2000 guests. Her scheduled refurbishment is set to coincide with the introduction of the new union flag and blue funnels design that will eventually roll out across the fleet.
During her refurbishment she will gain new restaurants such as Sindhu and The Glass House. Both restaurants have proven to be extremely popular on Azura and Ventura.
Other new features will include a new Costa Coffee, upgraded casino, the introduction of Freedom Dining and improvements to the Oasis Spa.
Christopher Edgington, Marketing Director of P&O Cruises said "It's all part of our ongoing commitment to ensure continuous improvement of our ships and consistency across the fleet. As the very first ship to display our new livery, we have big plans to welcome Aurora back in Southampton."
Starting on November 29th '14 in Hamburg, her refit is scheduled to be complete on December 18th '14 ahead of her 14-night Christmas and New Year cruise.
