MSC Cruises have announced that celebrated British chef, Antony Worrall Thompson, will be onboard the MSC Splendida next February to showcase his culinary skills.
The award winning chef, known for his appearances on Ready, Steady, Cook and I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, will board the MSC Splendida on 5th Feb 2012 in Barcelona and will make a series of appearances on Monday 6th Feb, showcasing some of his best loved dishes and a selection specially prepared for MSC.
Worrall Thompson said: "I have always loved messing about in boats, so when MSC Cruises asked me to come on board and cook for some of its guests, it was too good an opportunity to miss. Particularly when the request comes from a company that places such importance on great food... I will be demonstrating some of my favourite dishes, plus a couple of surprises that I am preparing specially for the occasion."
Antony is among five of Europe’s top chefs who will be joining the MSC fleet for a series of special themed cruises, new for the 2011/12 season. Other Michelin starred chefs taking part include France's Gilles Epié, Germany's Kolja Kleeberg and Paco Roncero of Spain, along with popular Sicilian chef Filippo La Mantia.
The seven night sailing, featuring AWT, departs Genoa on the 4th Feb and with prices starting at £589 pp it's a great opportunity to soak up some warm winter sun in the Med and see one of Britain's favourite TV chefs in action.
